I support the 24 hour economic blackout to protest the coup in Washington by incompetent fascists, and unelected billionaires. I hope you will join with millions of people across this country to stand in solidarity against the oligarchy that is taking a hammer to the US Constitution, stealing our data, and harming all of us in ways that will not be completely known for some time.
24 Hour Economic Blackout Details
Please refrain from spending money at large corporate box stores, grocery stores, and gas stations on February 28, 2025. Do not use debit, credit, electronic payments or do banking if possible. Restrict spending to necessary items only during the blackout. And if you do need to make a purchase please shop at a small business.
Ideally if we can go 24 hours from 12 AM Friday to 12 AM Saturday, without any spending, tens of millions of us together can demonstrate our solidarity and economic leverage.
If the oligarchs fail to take notice today, we will target them again over longer periods. This will be a long fight, but money is the only thing billionaire psychopath assholes understand.
*Reality Check
As a disabled small business owner with upcoming bills due, I will continue the sales I have running currently. I also just found out today, my SNAP benefits are cut by $96/month.
Here’s Steps I’m Taking to Show Solidarity
- Invoices for Facebook and FB/website combined shipping orders will go out no earlier than Saturday after the blackout.
- For website orders, I will accept orders on Friday, however shipping labels will not be purchased until after the blackout. And if you can wait until Saturday, to place your order that’s good too.
- I don’t have money for anything else, so I aint’t buying anything during the blackout.
