Crowley Ridge Agate

Crowley Ridge Agate

Crowley agates sometimes known as Mississippi agates are a type of banded chalcedony that is found in the Crowley Ridge region of northern Arkansas. They are named after the Crowley Ridge, a geologic formation that runs through the region. Crowley agates are typically found as river-tumbled pebbles in the floodplains of the Mississippi River.

They can be found on the shores of the Mississippi river in several states it flows through, including Missouri, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
