Minnesota is known for its beautiful cold water agates, and druzy vug agates are some of the most sought-after specimens. Druzy vug agates are formed when druzy crystals (tiny, closely packed crystals) form inside of a cavity in the agate. The druzy crystals can be a variety of colors, including white, yellow, orange, red, brown, and black.
